Carnival

Spring Carnival is a major event for the Hunter Community that allows everyone to have good clean fun and show their support.

Please join us Saturday, May 18th in the school courtyard for the annual HCES Carnival!

We have loads of fun in store - new games- new rides - and the FDNY Fire Safety Trailer! There are inflatable rides (95 street is closed for the event,) carnival games, food and lots of good times for everyone.

The highlight each year is the dunk tank.  Who will be the guest of honor this year lucky enough to have a dip in the pool?  Come and see... and join in the fun.

Pledge 2 Protect is a new coalition of groups working to stop the trash transfer station next to Asphalt Green.   It includes Residents for Sane Trash Solutions, Asphalt Green and the Stanley Isaacs Neighborhood Center.

They are hosting a community meeting tonight:

  • Tuesday, May 7 at 6:30 PM (doors open at 6:00 PM)
  • The Church of the Holy Trinity
  • 316 East 88th Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues
